I grew up on a small family farm in Northern Utah.  I have a twin brother and two younger sisters.  We did everything together, moved pipe, did chores, played sports, you name it we were together.  After high school I went to Utah State University.  My major was ag. education/ coaching. I met Pat my second year of college and we got married about 9 months later.
We then moved to Southeast Idaho for Pat to work on the family farm.  I have worked as a teachers aide or secretary in the school districts from 2004-2011.  I am also doing what I love, coaching the high school softball team.  This will be my 8th year in the program.
I have always known that adoption would be a part of my life.  When I was younger I can remember saying that I would adopt my kids, I never knew why but I just had the feeling.  After we had tried for a couple of years, I finally got pregnant, and it was ectopic.  Everybody said its easy to get pregnant after an ectopic pregnancy. Three months later I was able to get pregnant again and it ended the same way, in a miscarriage.  It was devastating, but I knew that we had a child out there waiting to find us.  We submitted our papers and around a year later Mady joined our family.  Her birth mother is an amazing women who had the strength to do what many can't.  I will always have gratitude towards her that not many understand.  I would do anything for her, she was my road to my baby girl.  My arms ache to have another baby in them, and I know that when it is meant to be it will happen.  In the meantime I just collect clothes and decorations for the next child that blesses our  lives.
If you have any other questions for me, please ask.
Love,
Rachel
